SEGA Genesis- the SNES' Rival

The SEGA Genesis was the Super Nintendo's greatest rival, and at times, even surpassed it within sales. If you happened to own one one, what was your opinion on it, and what games did you have for the console?

I Loved me Genesis when I had it.
It was my first experience to Sonic, from which point I was hooked.
I had other games, like an entertaining but difficult Dungeons and Dragons like game and one of those spaceship shoot them up games
I was pretty upset when it broke

Before my brother gave his SEGA Genesis away, we did have a few Sonic games, but some of the games that I remember very well as well would be Vectorman. Vectorman was one of the best 2-D Shooting/platformers that I have ever played. It was easy to learn, and it was always entertaining to watch his actions.

Speaking of Genesis games, I know It not a Sonic game, but did anyone play Shining Force?
I was one of my favorite games

Still have my Genesis, it works, and I have a bunch of games outside the Sonic titles.

Yeah, overall I'd rather play Genesis then SNES. SNES was like the Sega Saturn. It had some good games but the other system was better.

I havn't played the Genesis. I would like to if I could find it somewhere.
