title explains all, how do you know a user is online without going to their profile? just curious.

If you look at the very bottom of the Main Forum page, there will be a box at the very bottom that will display who is currently online, who will be celebrating a birthday within the next 30 days, and numerous other items.

Unfortunately, that is the only area within the forum that displays who is currently online without having to access the user's profile.
