Shadow's Game

It my opinion that the game would have been better without the guns

This should be within the Shadow the Hedgehog (Game) section. It will be moved there.

It was used a lot less if you never died. But we all know that wasn't possible with a game like this.

I used to argue that if you didn't like the guns then don't use them but the game made that impossible by the way Shadow's homing attack was in the game. One mess up could send you flying over the very thing you were trying to hit and cause you to fly off the course toward your death.

Honestly though, the guns were fun to shoot at things once I had an offical lock on to something. The running out of firepower and looking for more sucked though.

With a few improvements this game could have reached Sonic spinoff greatness. Improved graphics, removal of guns, vehicles and swears and you've got an excellent game. Really, apart from the homing attack it had the 3D Sonic gameplay down perfectly. Grinding was easier, jumping had a simlar feel to the older titles, and there was more to do then just run through the stages. Hell, they even squeezed in the co-op even though it was hard as hell to keep a teammate on screen.

Dude, I beat Black Doom and Sonic with just the Homing Attack
Its difficult, but not impossible

That's fine that you beat two bosses with just the homing attack. That doesn't change the fact that the way the game had it set-up and the way the mechanics worked sent you rocketing toward your death or into and undeseirable position whenever you used it. It's pretty impossible to get through the game without using the guns now and again.

Those bosses had plenty of room around them anyway. I wouldn't worry about falling to your death on those.
