This topic is made specifically to hold a large catalogue of Cheats, Glitches, and Hidden Items within the Sonic series. If you happen to know anything that you would like to share, feel free to mention it here.

I don't remember how its done, but in Sonic 2 there is a Debug mode where you can turn Tails into a variety of different things. This makes beating the game easier as, if you have all the Chaos Emeralds, you can get 50+ rings and go Super Sonic at any time.

The only thing I can think of at the moment.. well, in SA2B, if you go to the theme selection thing and hit up and down really fast on the Control Stick, you can use the president's secretary.

In Sonic the Hedgehog (1991), if you use the code up, down, left, and right, you can use the act select screen. As well in Sonic 1, in Labyrinth Zone act 2, when you pass the Goal Post and move out of the screen, quickly hold the down button, and the game will completely glitch. It may also show an error code depending on which version of the game you are playing.

Sonic 3 alone doesn't have very many cheats that can be used, but if you happen to have Sonic 3 combined with Sonic & Knuckles, then there are quite a few available.

When you have Sonic 3 & Knuckles, you can access the Zone Select cheat much more easily than within Sonic 3, and you can also access the Debug Mode for the game. You can also use Debug Mode to gain access to quite a few glitches.

That's pretty cool. Of course, I have the Sonic Mega Collection for Gamecube, so I have to unlock Sonic 3 and Knuckles.

To unlock Sonic 3 & knuckles, you have to load Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles 20 times each. After you see the SEGA logo, exit the game and return back to the Game Menu. Simply continue doing the such unil the conditions are completed. Then return back to the Main Menu, then return to the Game Menu. You shuld then have Sonic 3 & Knuckles available to play.

To select stages on sonic 2,
you´ll need to go to the option mode,
and listen tracks numbers:19,65,09 and 17,
a ring sound will sound.

I knew it was in the sound test, but not with songs. That is helpful.

For get all emeralds,at the begining,you'll need to go to the selection stages screen and go the sound test, and listen soundtracks numbers 04,01,02 and 06.
A emerald sound will play. After that, with all emeralds with you,
you need to get 50 rings and jump,
to be Super Sonic.
